0170-Nigel & Kwan Ann copy

Hi, welcome to my blog.  My name is Kwan-Ann.  The photo above was taken on my wedding day, just before I changed into my wedding dress.

For a long time now, I have been struggling with the idea of chasing my dream.  Growing up, I was taught to choose a job that is safe and provides security.  A job that pays well.  A job that can survive the unpredictability of economic downturns.

Deep down inside, I knew I wanted to be a writer.  My family did not support that idea, telling me that I was not good enough.  Instead, I went to university and now hold a degree in Engineering.

Through all of that, I have learned three things – you always secretly know what you want to do but are too afraid to say it out loud, hold on tightly to what you want because no one else will,  and to boldly go after your dreams.  This blog is my way of encouraging myself as well as others.

My wish is that this blog is able to:

  • Motivate others to find their calling
  • Inspire others to live out their fullest potential through simple 15-minute tips and life hacks
  • Encourage others to live a life that they want, not pressured by societal norms and expectations

I have found in my journey and daily conversations that many people are on a similar journey in life.

Some feel like they are blindly fumbling their way through life, they know what their end goal is but do not know how to get there.

Some have successfully achieved what they set out to do, but soon realise that they are not fulfilled.

Others just needed a job and got that; desired a career and got one; but are at the stage of life searching for their calling.

Combining this realisation with my own personal journey led to the birth of this blog.

If you are interested in chasing your dream practically, life hacks and simply a word of encouragement, this blog is for you.

I update this blog weekly on Tuesdays.  Tune in then to see what I have to say; alternatively you can leave your email address in the box below and you will be notified when there is a new post.

Thank you!

  1. Hi Kwan-Ann
I agree wholeheartedly with your vision. Too many people are stuck where they don’t want to be because they’re doing what they were ‘supposed’ to do. I’ve signed up for your blog and look forward to your life hacks.
